Christina died in 1857:

1857 ARROL CHRISTINA TYSLER GILCHRIST F 34 PAISLEY HIGH CHURCH /RENFREW 573/01 0329

That should be TYTLER her mother's name. Daughter Ann was with her uncle James in 1861.

Please see if you can find William and daughter Mary in 1861.

There doing it to me again!!!!!

GILCHRIST family for 1871/1881/1891 are hiding from me, must be transcribed not under "G" .
They must be there someone because the 1901 census does not have William GILCHRIST but his wife Agnes GILCHRIST is living with her son William b1872 with his wife Agnes + 4 children at 73 Canal St.

Their no getting away from me that easily.

Thank you. If Agnes b. 1832 was not in the 1891 census are you sure it is her in the 1901 and not the older sister Agnes b. 1860 with the middle name Gardiner (her mother's name)?

Anyway, it seems William b. 1824 died between 1891 and 1901.

Yes 1901 it says Agnes GILCHRIST c1831 Paisley is listed as mother
For William GILCHRIST c1872 (Mother's Name: Agnes).
Just found 1881 William & Agnes at 30 St James St, Paisley

Like you said William must have died between 1891-1901, and Agnes after 1901.

So it's only 1871 I still have to find, what was in my lunch today

Sorry Agnes in 1891 born 1831 not 1860
