My great Grandfather Matthew Dunn born abt 1852 in Newcastle Upon Tyne married Margaret Robson in 1786 they had 4 children one died the others were John Hy my grandfather, Mary Isabella born 1877 & Amy Dunn born abt 1878 both the females were born in Newcastle upon tyne in 1901 census both the females are living with my gt gt grandfather John H Dunn in Wark, Northumberland. I don't know what happened to the 2 females after that, I don't know if they married and had children or not can anyone help?

My gt gt grandfather John H was born in Wark 1828 he opened a paper manufacturing business making and designing wall paper later they moved the business to Newcastle Upon Tyne, His wife was Mary Isabella Donkin they had 3 children Matthew, John 1854 & Mary Jane 1856 I don't know what happened to Matthew's siblings either.

Any help will be appreciated.

This looks like probate for the same person.

Dunn John Mary of 121 Osborne Rd, Newcastle upon Tyne (wife of John Henry Dunn) died 13 May 1932 adminstration Newcastle upon Tyne 18 July to John Henry Dunn (the younger) commercial traveller and James Hutton Dunn ship owner. Effects 2827 7s

She is under John Mary Dunn in 1911 but there is also this probate.

Thank you for the information you gave me juliejtp I have since carried out some more research and found Frederick Oswald Dunn died and is buried in France in 1918 he married a Lilian Florence I think her surname might have been Kirk.

Margaret died aged 17. This make sense of the fact that Mary left everything to her only 2 living children John & James.

I wrote to a club at the Crown Inn Hushaugh asking if anyone knows anything about Amy & Hugh Johnson I thought it was worth a try. You never know I might find some living relatives.
