Re: 3x BRYANT

Searching for Robert & Martha should include some of the children, eg Richard H. who died in 1903 in Roma. I've not tried to trace all the children in Qld.

RD: Croydon
Sub-RD: Croydon
Godstone Road
8 Station Cottages
Robert Bryant head age 40 occ builder born Baterham [Caterham]
Martha wife age 41 born Swansea
Richard H son age 14 occ Caterham
Robert J son age 12 born Caterham
Alfred son age 11 born Warlingham
Kathleen dau age 8 born Warlingham
Alice D dau age 6 born Coulsdon
Clara D dau age 3 born Coulsdon
John M son age (either 7mths or days transcribed as 7 1/2) born Coulsdon
Can they be found in 1901? EDIT: No if they left in 1896

Ok it is 1896 London to Brisbane.

All we need now is the name of the vessel.

Re: 3x BRYANT

The title is all wrong now. Should be 4x.

That article says a sister also arrived and married to become Mrs R. KEMP.

So now there is one more to look for.

I think it might be Clara who was last seen in 1881 census aged 12.

This does not seem to fit.

4829/1905 KEMP JAMES C BRYANT JANE M NEWTOWN

Initial not R. and I don't have a Jane. Emma E and Ann are in 1911 but Clara is not.

No KEMP & BRYANT marriage in Qld.

They can't escape an expert.

Marriages Jun 1890
BRYANT Clara Fulham 1a 521
Kemp Robert Fulham 1a 521

Oh. 1926 London to Sydney

Re: 3x BRYANT

Yes. They are great.

The BRYANT side of this family might be easy but the SNELLING side is far from.

Robert married a SNELLING born in Wales but Robert's mother was a SNELLING born in Surrey.

One of Robert's sons has a middle name Hosegood. And yes another SNELLING married William HOSEGOOD so there has to be a connection between them. I don't know yet if Robert married a cousin.
