Re: OLIVER family
Hello cp,
Great work.
Thanks.
I am surprised they arrived before 1841.
Well, I did look for a death for a n* OLIVER but didn't find one in NSW.
I failed to look for a 2nd marriage.
# 1839/1856 CHANNELL WILLIAM OLIVER NAOMI PARRAMATTA
Death # 3237/1862 CHANNELL NAOMI RICHARD MARIA CAMDEN
Richard is correct.
Regards,
Dave

Re: OLIVER family
Hello cp,
Just as well you are still on the ball.
I think I had the wrong William.
Possibly this one:
Death # 6900/1873 OLIVER WILLIAM JOHN SUSAN HILL END
Probably not. I'd say an earlier one with no parents listed.
Regards,
Dave

Re: OLIVER family
Hello cp,
Interesting that Charles born in E Sussex married twice in NSW and both were named Harriet and both born in E Sussex.
Must have been the accent.
I suppose we should move this topic to the Shipping board.
Regards,
Dave

Re: OLIVER family
Hello cp,
27/09/1839 'Neptune ' or 26 Sep in some records.
WHATMAN Thomas 46 27/09/1839 'Neptune ' Reels 2654, 1304 340 [4/4780], [4/4846] Wife 42; farm labourer NRS 5313, 5314
That is actually the WHITEMAN family. Charles married Harriet WHITEMAN so just wondering if they came together.
Could you please check that vessel for FURNER / TURNER. Thanks.
Regards,
Dave
