Fisher Family in England

Ok I am new to all of this. I am searching for my family "Fisher" which was in England.

My GGrandfater, Thomas James Fisher was board in Millom Cumberland on Mar 13, 1876. I cannot find anything on his birth. His mother was Mary Jane Leslie and his father was THomas James Fisher.

The only thing I can find is he was Christened in 1886 at St Anne on Sea, Lancashire England. I found reference to James and Mary Fisher and some James and Mary Jane Fisher. I believe this is the parents. Looks like they might have had other children while in St Anne (as per Lancashire BMD). Names are William approx 1888, Mary approx 1892 and John approx 1894.

Romour has it one of the brothers died early in life possibly from a war. Thomas (son) named one of his boys John Leslie which I beleive may have been John who passed away (just a guess).

Does anyone have any information or better yet are related? I have found lots of informaiton on the Eddy side. Charles Eddy also know as last name Little had a number of Children from Mary Marriott.

I cannot find anything aobut a marriage or what happened with THomas Fisher and a Mary Jane Leslie. Any tips?

Wow thanks for all the great help. I checked the information you provided me and it seems it could be him. I wonder is Alice Passed away because thomas (son) wedding info has Mary Jean Leslie as Thomas James wife in Glasgow in 1915. I cannot access the 1911 Scotland Census. Can anyone find information about THomas James Fisher in scotland in 1911. The address provided and what was on his 1915 Military record was

In 1881 census that Dave found, someone in Anc## has put a correction to Thomas' birthplace.
