John BLACKLEY

Hello cp,

John BLACKLEY (many variations) b. 1796 +/- 5 say

I really have no idea how much older than Isabella he might have been. Perhaps more than 5 years.

He is a master stone mason journeyman born in Ireland but let's not assume the census listing won't say born Paisley, Renfrew.

One daughter married in 1861 and he is not listed as being deceased.

Another daughter married in 1864 and he is listed as deceased.

Quote:
1851
Civil parish Paisley North
5, Love Street
Isabella Blackly head age 48 occ washer woman born Ireland
Thomas son age 21 occ iron moulder born Ireland
Mary dau age 19 occ warehouse sewster? born Ireland
Isabella dau age 17 occ shread twiner born Ireland
Sarrah dau age 15 occ weavers asst born Ireland
Cathren dau age 13 occ house servant born Ireland

1861
Civil parish Paisley High Church
57, Broomlands Street
Isabella Blackley head age 56 born Ireland
Mary dau age 26 occ mill worker born Ireland
Isabella dau age 25 occ mill worker born Ireland
Sarah dau age 23 occ mill worker born Ireland
Catherine dau age 21 occ mill worker born Ireland
Ann dau age 15 occ mill worker born Paisley

1871 ?
Have list of 23 & 57 Broomlands st. - Some census pages are damaged.
Isabella not listed as a widow or am I wrong about that? Is it usual not to include condition?

A tough one but please see if you can find John in 1861. Thanks. I won't say he stayed in Renfrew or even in Scotland. A son ended up living in Lancashire for some reason.

Regards,

Dave

Hi Dave

Don't you like me

I don't want to play census with you anymore.

Sorry I can't find John in 1861 Scotland/England census in a 10 year range.

cheers

Re: John BLACKLEY

Hello cp,

Thanks for looking.

It's possible I suppose that he should have been listed as deceased on the 1861 marriage certificate.

Some progress has been made with this family and McLUCKIE / MALCOLM.

Ok. How about 1000 1913 E/R look ups? One Tim Tam for every 10.

Regards,

Dave

Re: John BLACKLEY

You just want the Tim Tams.

That's curious. Why was the quote in lower case?

Re: John BLACKLEY

Yes. Like my M & M YATES census title that ended up in lower case.
