hi to anyone who can help,im trying to find marriages for as thomas edge born 1835 and a samuel dudley edge born 1833 both in willenhall their parents are thomas and prudence ,i have a few possibilities but dates dont tie up and i think ive lost the line somewhere so if you can help that would be brill thanx

Hi Jane,

There is a death for a Samuel Dudley Edge in 1843, district Wolverhampton, also a christening 13 Sept 1835, date of birth 28 Nov 1833, father Thomas Edge, mother Prudence.

Hi Jayne,

I'm not sure about this one. Thomas Edge born about 1833, he always gives his pob as Staffordshire. He married a Christian ------ she was born in Scotland. From 1871 he and Christian plus children are living in Plumstead Kent. What do you think?

Looking at the 1861 census there are these Thomas Edges born in Staffordshire.

Thomas Edge born abt 1833 Staffordshire occ servant Alston Field Staffs
Thos Edge born abt 1835 Wednesbury boarder Walsall Borough
Thomas Edge born abt 1837 Walsall visitor Wall Foreign, and this one living in Scotland:-

Thomas Edge born abt 1833 occ pawnbroker clerk Edinburgh St Cuthberts. This Thomas is listed in 1841 with George Edge born abt 1798 England occ pawnbroker. So we know that this Thomas isnt yours but is he the one that married Christian. Thomas Edge in Plumstead, his occupation is painter/journeyman also painter plasterer.

Back to the drawing board. Thomas Edge married Christina Wilson in 1861, his father is John Edge Publican.
