Hi Sue, Leave posting the census for now as i have dont think that one is mine?? I have mother as definately a Elizabeth. There are a few Sampson Richards and i was hoping they would have put his second name, Collins, in to make it easy to find. Thank you for having a look for me.
hi, been looking for sampson, and bit of a puzzle, there seems to be 2 sampson collins /richards in the area, the first one i found if your details are right is not the right one, i have just had another look for sampson collins and have come up with an 1851 return for him age 8 in cornwall listed as boarder, on the other return he was age 12 parents william and mary ann,so methinks he,s not your sampson although bit of a coincidence, the other sampson looks more likely. what do you think? sue
Hi Trace and Sue,
What i have from the death index in Australia is
1923 Sampson Collins Richards-- father John Richards-- mother Elizabeth Collins
Checking my mother in laws notes on him and also familysearch birth was 1844 Cornwall and the parents were as above as well. He suposedly married in USA but i havent confirmed that as yet so maybe the family left England before 1851 Maybe i should check passenger list just in case
Thanks for checking for me.

HI Sue, i dont know what to think With the help from Daveham today i was going great guns and then this family obviously thought they would put a spanner in the works now. I wonder why he would be a boarder at 8 years of age?? This one seems more like mine tho. I will do some more checking and see if i can confirm something on him. Thanks for the help.
