There's nothing really to tie in Thomas the miner.??

As Jane is on her own in 1930 & 1936 I'm wondering if her 2nd husband died before 1930.

Had a look at the N.S.W Divorces and came across a Jane West JENKINS, coincidence

Thanks for looking. There are several things that don't add up.

1930 Newcastle - Merewether Thomas & Jane JENKINS. I guess that is a different couple.

How can we have 10 Bent St at North Sydney and Parramatta? That would require huge boundary changes for the electorate. I guess it's possible.

You are correct in saying it's Jane's 2nd marriage. It's possible she divorced a 2nd time. She divorced in 1899 the first time.

27336/1940 JENKINS JANE WEST JAMES CATHERINE MARRICKVILLE

I have her death date as 27 Dec 1940 but that does not add up. I'd say from the 1940 reg that she must have died in 1939. No burial or cremation can be found.

Yes I wondered that too why Bent street was in another division.

Thomas' middle name may be Joseph. Did find this chap on his own, also a death.

Ok, I'd say Jane divorced again in 1921. Odds against it not being her with middle name of West.

Ok, we can rule out the Merewether connection. This marriage explains a Thomas & Jane in that area.

I had queries for five children born to Thomas & Jane 1910 - 1918. All born at Merewether all with mother's name as just Jane.

I've just deleted those 5 from my tree.
