Is it a 2 or a 9? It does not look like the 2 or the 9 near the top.

That's interesting, Dave.. Never thought to look further down for Whan, post #16

Definitely says 2 Belmore on image for Wayne, but entry further down for Whan could be either, I would favour [2]

Post #1 it's 2 Belmore st.

The WAYNE bit does not make much sense. You get on the roll by filling in a form which is then posted postage paid to the AEC. So it can't be a name misheard.


I presume with a Mr M Whan arriving Sydney from Suva that Milton's father is Matthew. Not sure about Andrew then.

I remember when I couldn't find it I concentrated on missionary and stopped at Wayne with other features being close..

Marriage 756/1912 WHAN MATTHEW - HIBBERD MARGARET A E - ADAMSTOWN

But Mr M arrived from Suva in 1912 ??


NSW BDM won't give me a date for that marriage. Yes it will 14 Feb.

Arrived 24 Jan.

Milton has a sister Rewa, so it would make sense if she was at same address.. His father Matthew [1883] tree has a bro. Andrew [1884]
