Re: McCARTHY family from Ireland

Thanks Geoff.

That's progress.

Did you notice I skipped McLuckie? I might even skip Malcolm and Mackellar.

But I won't skip the Martin families. We should finish 'M' by mid March.

Dave

Re: McCARTHY family from Ireland

I wonder if this one died young and they named the next daughter Ellen also.

Ellen b. 14 Sep 1855 c. 7 Oct 1855 Doon Parish, Limerick, Ireland
Edmond & Honora

Age in 1865 is listed as 8.

Re: McCARTHY family from Ireland

Dunno Geoff if there is one Ellen and age is out or the one born 1855 died young and another was named Ellen who fits age 8 in 1865.

That could be taken several ways.

He was the ships Master or he was already in Queensland and paid deposit for them to arrive assisted.

So, which one of the two?

Rule this one out:

MCCARTHY Edmund 19 Hotspur 1863 Sydney Reel 2139, [4/4797]; Reel 2481, [4/4982]
