Parkison and Warren

HI

I am trying to find out information about the Parkinson & Warren connections.
Both were Doctors in the 1700's or so.

Thanks

Robert

Re: Parkison and Warren

We really need something more specific to work with.

I don't know how you get London from a Somerset marriage.

If you want us to look for the parents of Sarah Anne WARREN for example then that's a start.

Details proved or otherwise HERE

Re: Parkison and Warren

James Keys Parkinson died at 1 York Place Kingsland Rd London on 24th Feb 1849. Probate to his wife of the same address. He is described as a surgeon and apothecary.
The Medical directory did not start until 1858 so not listed there

Re: Parkison and Warren

Hi Robert,

You have not given us much idea of what you already know but a quick search reveals that James Keys Parkinson's father and grandfather were also both medical men

James parents were

John William Keys Parkinson 11/7/1785- april 1938 and Diana Chapple. He married again following the death of Diana . the second wife was Elizabeth Caroline Tompson They also lived in Kingsland road which is close to St Leonards church Shoreditch

The parents of John were James Parkinson 1755-1824 and Mary Dale 1757-1838.James was also a doctor

If you have access to Ancestry you will find the extended family in several public trees.

I worked in that area in the 1960s as a doctor and there were 3 hospitals within walking distance of Kingsland Rd . The Mildmay Mission Hospital , The Metropolitan and St Leonards hospital.

There were also several major cholera epidemics from about 1835 in that area

Re: Parkison and Warren

Hi all
Thanks for the information so far.
Re London & Somerset, I live in New Zealand and I did not do well in Geography at school ,and anywhere in England seems near to London to me, next time I try to be more specific.
We do have a Daniel Warren Born 1687 at Exter Marrying a Honor Martin (No other details) They had 7 Child
Another Daniel Warren Born 22nd July 1703 Marrying a Mary Hayman on 02 Apr 1731 at Church of St Michael, Minehead, Somerset, England she was born 1712 and died 1757 (No other detail) they had 6 children
A Samuel Hayman WARREN Born 11 Jan 1740 At Minehead, Somerset, England Died 23 Nov 1803 At Minehead, Somerset, England and Married an Ann BLAKE on 23 May 1777 at Minehead, Somerset, England They had 6 children
Samuel WARREN Born 09 Jan 1771 at Minehead, Somerset, England Died 19 Sep 1835 at Milverton, Somerset, England and Married a Deborah Camplin HOLMAN on the 05 Mar 1811 at Milverton, Somerset, England they had 9
children.

So we can go back to 1687 but no further, we do have the birth dates of all the children but not the dates of death or their marriages exept for the ones listed.

I hope that helps.

Robert
