Re: Gunner Charles Thomas Ives. Regt.No.838570

I've just re-read the newspaper cutting, and I noticed that 3 Ives brothers were serving in the WW2.
That leaves William Ives, .b.18 Dec 1912, P. Risborough, and Jack Ronald Ives, b.22 April 1917.

Now I wonder, which other brother was serving King and Country, from those two.

I'm diving back into my box of photo's and scraps of info.

There just maybe a wedding photo I've over looked.

Steve.

Rupert, this is wonderful. Thank you very much.

It does raise a couple of questions.......I need to find out who the daughters in law are, F & J Ives.

Could F Ives be a type error, my mother E.Ives. As for J Ives, I can't explain her........yet.!!

Steve.

Re: Gunner Charles Thomas Ives. Regt.No.838570

Jack Ronald Ives, married in 1942 to Sybil E Wells. It's not P.Risborough Church.
Maybe Halton or Aston Clinton.
My sister is reasonably sure, he was not in the Army.

Attachment 3550

Found the photo in my box of stuff. My sister confirmed it's him.
My Mum, Aunt and Granny in the picture.

Steve.

I am as thick as a brick.

'Mesdames' - (Mrs)F.Ives and (Mrs)J.Ives, would be my mother and Uncle Jack's wife.

It's been a while since I've been in the Wally corner, so I hope it's clean.
