Yes, my error re Emma. I have her in 1841 census. The shipping record put me off with her name not there. Ages and names all over the place.

Re: William Thomas DAVEY

Thanks Geoff.

The name is actually Silva from The Azores but a few early records have Silver.

I can't find a St Mark, Alexandria, NSW. An icon appears on the map but clicking the icon points to suburb of Northbridge. There is no Alexandria in the list at the left.

So William died between 1848 and 1878 - - not much help.

Was hoping to find a marriage in 1850s or 1860s and check if William was still alive.

NSW BDM is down tonight. I think I have the right marriage for Eliza to Velt.

Re: William Thomas DAVEY

Thanks, Dave...

Yeah, there is/was a case for an Alexandria SSW of Surry Hills and North Sidney, interesting no obvious parish of St Mark now. The image is clear on St Mark Alexandria.

It is not too clear re. Joseph's name, could be Silva or Silver, though he has not signed [his mark].

Re: William Thomas DAVEY

Alexandria is an old suburb that still exists so a bit of a puzzle.

Very curious. Darling Point and Alexandria are not nearby suburbs.

Ok. The parish name has nothing to do with the suburb of Alexandria.
