Re: DAVEY family

John is listed as 2 years in 1841 census so either that should be 2 months or he died and they named another son John.

One tree has this:

John Davey b: 26 NOV 1839 in Bath, Somerset, England
James Davey b: 4 SEP 1845 in Melbourne /Victoria

Births Dec 1839
Davey John Bath 11 31

So I don't know how John can be 11 months old on the passenger list to NZ.

Re: DAVEY family

The 1841 census was taken 6 June. So if John was 2 months then he would have been born around end of March early April. That doesnt sit right with the 11 months on the passeger list

Re: DAVEY family

I don't know. It does not fit either way. If he was born in 1839 and 2 years old in 1841 census then he can't be 11 months old in Oct 1841.

There are others born in other parts of Somerset but I'm looking at only those with birth and death reg in RD Bath. No death or birth reg in Bath to fit the 11 months.

If that Sep date is correct in 1845 then that helps a lot.
