The name is OTTAWAY on NSW but Emglish records have it also as OTWAY and OTTWAY.
I still can't find a birth reg that fits for either of them. Alfred was known as Sid.

NSW Death 19677/1951 FURNER ALICE ISABELLA - SIDNEY - EMILY ALICE - NEWCASTLE


I've had no luck so far finding them in 1871 census.

I can see Alf/Sid's parents in 1871 but not him

Marriage has father as Thomas a carriage builder so that fits.

Father of Emily is William a smith.

Emily's father is William on her marriage and death reg. I have no idea if Elizabeth on her death reg is correct for her mother.
