Re: Catherine McNAUGHTON

Hello Ann and to the Forum

I'm a descendant of Thomas born abt 1830 Ireland, eldest of John BLACKLEY & Isabella McGUIRE.

The Catherine I was tracing was the 5th of their 6 children.

I have many queries re the BLACKLEY (many variations) family.

Dave

Re: Catherine McNAUGHTON

First off, I'm puzzled by the connection to Campbeltown ?

The Catherine I'm chasing has no connection as far as I can see to Argyll.

Not sure what to do. Perhaps ignore the first two pages and start from a different event.

Yep, had a look at some earlier threads, hence 'interesting info'. But you never know!

Re: Catherine McNAUGHTON

Not just the variations in spelling of BLACKLEY and McNAUGHTON but ages vary wildly in census. Some census are really mangled.
