Re: Jane MATTHEWS

Probate notice lists daughter Mary and two sons. I think that's a different Benjamin.

Re: Jane MATTHEWS

Mary Cock
christening: 16 June 1805 CROWAN,CORNWALL,ENGLAND
father: Waltar Cock
mother: Mary

Benjamin MATTHEWS & Mary COCK
29 Oct 1825 Crowan, Cornwall

I started off with daughter Jane because she ended up in Australia. Her death reg does not help because it lists her father as Benjamin MATTHEWS and her mother as Jane MATTHEWS.

As I mentioned in the Edward RODD topic the Victorian death certificates often don't give the mother's maiden name just the married name. Mother's name Jane I'm sure is an error.

It doesn't say they are sons, they could be grandsons...

I can't see a Jane who fits in 1841.

I'll check the images and see if the 1847 marriage is there.

EDIT: Marriages end at 1830.
