I can't either.

I'll find something else to work on.

Re: Jane MATTHEWS

Yes. It's a very long story.

Children born in South Australia first then 2 marriages in Victoria. None of the 5 children survived.

Jane TAIT, born Cornwall 1832, died Victoria aged 46 yrs. # 00287 /1878

Re: Jane MATTHEWS

I suspect the informant wasn't necessarily familiar with her mother's first name and assumed it was the same as hers... The birth is about 4y out, not unusual in this one

Since none of the children survived, it does, to some extent end there!

The reason I asked about Ballarat was Penhall/Boucher...

Jane Tait
Death Place: Victoria
Age: 46
Father's Name: Mathews Benjam
Mother's Name: Jane Matthews
Registration Year: 1878
Registration Place: Victoria
Registration number: 287
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1832

Geoff
