My Granny Julia Ives.

Just recieved a picture of my Granny, from a first cousin who I managed to track down in October.
She has sent me a photo of our Granny Julia this morning.
What makes the photo especially brilliant, is the minature picture around her neck, is the photo that I have of my Grampy Ives.

Here she is.

Attachment 377

And here's the ol' fella.

Attachment 378

A very happy Steve.

Hi Steve,
How lucky you are. Wouldn't it be marvelous if you had the locket with the photo in it......

Wierd thing though Lee, his great grandson(my nephew), looks the spitting image of him(minus the tash).
No one else in the family bears any resemblance to him.

I've got a picture of Gran, when she was about 19yrs old. And one about 4yrs before she died. So this one fits nice and snug in the middle ish.

Steve.

Re: My Granny Julia Ives.

Great photos Steve. It's good that relatives can pass on such things rather than throw them away.

A great aunt sent me some old photos a few months ago and I've not found a place where I can get them scanned yet.

Buy your own scanner Dave, it's cheaper.

Hopefully, my Cousin has got a few more photo's to pass on. Fingers and toes crossed.
I suppose I could ask her if Grans pendant is still about as well.

Steve.

Re: My Granny Julia Ives.

I run a paperless office.

I don't even have a printer attached to this computer. I found when I ordered an airline flight on-line I couldn't print the boarding pass.

I might have to buy a 3-in-1.
