Smile New Person

Hi,
I am Kim, a new member from Sydney. I employed a UK genealogist many years ago to attempt to shift me past my brick wall and she met with the same wall. I thought I'd make another attempt now. I am searching for the birth of George Hardacre (in Giggleswick / Rathmell / Settle) c. 1795-1805.
The plot is more confused by the fact that my GGGGF, Thomas Hardacre born c.1822-1823 around Settle / Rathmell (d.1899 in Burnley) lists George as his father but the only Thomas born (according to the Giggleswick Parish Register 1770-1837) around 1823 is born to John and Nanny Hardacre on 04/07/1823.
I wish I could navigate through this. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Re: New Person

Not sure if this is of help or not but there is a marriage in Giggleswick 30 October 1819 between a George Hardacre and an Ann Robinson. I can find three children baptised to them Margaret in 1820, William in 1824 and Eliza in 1826.

There is a suitable gap between Margaret and William for Thomas to have been born, even if he wasn't baptised.

I think Woodlesford or Oulton used to be named Giggleswick as well
