Wally moments.

Well folks, the old age has crept up on me, without me noticing.

Looking through the Oxfordshire Marriage Index, I was getting rather annoyed why I couln't find the marriage of a rellie.

I had the 1858 freeBMD marriage reg. And it should have been a breeze to find the one I wanted.
So after an hour of looking, I realised my mistake.

The Oxfordshire Index only goes up to 1837.

The wally's are coming thick and fast now.

Steve.

Re: Wally moments.

Ah! Wally moments, i shouldn't tell but i will anyway.
On a saturday night not too long ago i decided to take the better half to dinner at the local R.S.L. club for a night of of fun and frollicking. (not really just a reason to have a few cold ales) Being saturday night we thought it would be a good idea for her to take her mobile phone in case the kids needed to contact us. Well getting ready to go anywhere at our place is an epic adventure and by the time the taxi came the makeup was still being applied.
In my best diplomatic manner i informed B H that the meter would be running and could she please make haste. Well during the helter skelter of turning off lights, locking doors and windows and grabbing hand bags i thought to ask if B H had grabbed the mobile to which she replied she had.(good i thought so far so good).
Needless to say the night went at a pace that i hadn't seen for many a year, and by the end we both had a jolly time and were looking forward to a quick trip home and some well earned kip.
So time to phone a taxi, my better half opened her bag and produced ----------- the T.V. Remote. Yes the phone was still on the coffee table at home. At least we all had a good laugh.
Jackson.

Like that Jackson...i had a wally moment last week..delivering to Worcester a young manager of the shop giving me grief...you know all spots and glasses and an attitude...well i bit my tongue but the old lady who helped me unload listened to me moaning about the the little git.
As i went to leave i says thanks for her help and if she could tell the manager what a pimple faced rude "*?@%?>< he is.

No problem my dear she says....i am cooking his dinner later i will be sure to let him know!!

Re: Wally moments.

I don't remember dreams either.

Does that mean I don't dream or I don't sleep?
