Re: Nottinghamshire......

Hi Alan.

Just a quickie look up please, if you can.

John Henry Norton b1856 - Ludbrough, Lincs. Married Alice Ann Deabill b1862 - Carlton, Notts........ Marriage reg. O/N/D 1882. Southwell, Notts.

Children - William Arthur Norton b.1893 - Woodborough, Notts. Mary Alice Norton b1888. Woodborough, Notts. John Henry Norton b1890. Woodbrough, Notts.

Questions.

1). Any baptisms for children.
2). Location of marriage(Church or otherwise), for Norton & Deabill/Deable.

I have them in all census.

Thanks.

Steve.

Re: Nottinghamshire......

Hi Steve,
Sorry I cant find any of the baptizms.
The most likely nearest Church, would probably be the one where John and Alice were Married, St Mary the Virgin at Lowdham. but there is no baptizm records for Lowdham on the disc I have.
Church CMD records for *Lowdham (with Gunthorpe and Caythorpe) 1559 -1900 are on microfiche at Nottingham Archives and the Local Studies Library in the city centre.

I believe this is the marriage you are after... St Mary the Virgin.

NORTON,John Henry, to DEABILL,Alice Anne,...10/11/1882 Lowdham, Notts

Re: Nottinghamshire......

Just one more query please.....maybe.

Do you know which church this marriage happened in.?

William Deabill to Mary Clarke - J/F/M 1856 @ Basford, Notts.

And any chance of grooms parents. I think it maybe John & Elizabeth Deabill.

William Deabill b.1833. Carlton, Notts.

Re: Nottinghamshire......

Hi Budige

You seem to have got further into the Woolley family tree than anyone else I can find! Are you able to provide any more information on Joseph Woolley (b. 1737) - He seems to be an absolute dead end for me and it's driving me mad! Any census info/job titles would be a huge help!

Thanks in advance
