Hi,
My name is Barbara and I live in Brisbane, Australia.
I have been researching my ancestors and my husband's for about 6 years now and it has been a fulfilling experience. It's gone past the hobby/pastime stage and is now almost an obsession.
The most challenging branch of my family has been the Lulham side, because of all the various ways the name has been spelt on records. Also, they just turned up in Kingston Upon Thames in 1757, when my 4 x greatgrandfather married there, from who knows where, so trying to find from where they originated has also been a challenge. Sussex being the most likely place.
Another family I have not had a great deal of success with is the Tricks family, originating from Devon and married in St Marylebone, London in 1808.
Other families are Everingham, James from East London, McLennan & Matherson from Scotland, Campfield, Langdon & Churchill from Somerset, just to name a few.
Looking forward to chatting with you guys,
Barbara

Hi Barbara! I'm sure you already know this, but the IGI is good for showing surname 'clusters' geographically if you're not sure where your ancestors might have lived...
Hi Lee,
I went to the link that you suggested and had a read, but unfortunately, it is not about my particular branch. I did, though, send off and emaile to the author seeking some advice and maybe, he did come across my particular branch during his research.
Thanks again, it was might helpful Barbara
