Hello Geoff sorry for the long reply, i took a break as i hit a brick wall. i'm continuing to search and i believe from the help of some others i may have found out what happened. The death certificate arrived for William Henry Jefferies Senior, it was great news and matched perfect for william juniors father. I know this as he died in the same address as to where william was brought up.

From the help of others this is what i believe happened:

William Henry senior first married a Louisa Mary Scarborough and had 4 kids together, they were living in Fullham at this time. In 1911, William possibly committed Adultery ( With Emily Eveline Manely AS we know as Emily Jefferies ). William Senior and Emily gave birth to William Junior but for some reason Emily wrote the birth as Louisa Manley. William Junior was then baptized by William senior and Emily Eveline which confirms she brought him up. As i stated at the start William senior and Emily couldn't marry because William was still married to Louisa mary scarborough.

This is a rough idea of what happened, i have records to prove pretty much all of it. It seems right as we coudn't find a Louisa Manley anywhere, a marriage index or any censuses to prove Louisa existed. William and Emily possibly used Louisa because he was still married to her? i haven't a clue.

What do you think?

I also think that William Henry born 1911 is Emily's son and that she and William senior were trying to cover up the fact that they weren't married by making out that Louisa was his mother only Edith gave her true maiden name rather than Louisa's. Perhaps she didn't know it.

Hi, i've copied and pasted this from a reply i sent to Geoff, i wanted to quote to see what you also thought about it. also would like to apologize for then long reply in this thread, i gave up for a while as i hit a brick wall.

Very plausible.. And of course Emily is still around in 1919 and beyond.. after Sr's death and with Jr after 1932 [who would be eligible for E/R in 1933].
