Re: HAMILTON family

Thanks Val.

The arrival is correct.

Don't know if it is Hardaker or Hardacre or if the name is Elizabeth ...

Two notices indicate different parents for 'Betty' so it's hard to know which one to believe. Did she get adopted?

CA??

HARDACRE Charles Albert Death notice 12NOV1964 Death 50 at Mascot Sydney Morning Herald 13NOV1964

EM??

HARDACRE Elizabeth May Death notice 17JUN2000 Death 95 at Calvary Hospital Sydney Morning Herald 19JUN2000

I can look that one up at the local library on Monday.

Item 1534/1951 / Divorce papers Edith May Hardacre - Charles Albert Hardacre (11/04/1951 - 18/08/1952)

Dave

Re: HAMILTON family

One ruled out by this marriage.

14888/1936 HARDACRE CHARLES ALBERT - COPPINS EDITH MAY - ST PETERS
14888/1936 HARDACRE CHARLES ALBERT - NUTTALL EDITH MAY - ST PETERS

??
25743/1947 HARDACRE REGINALD JACK - THAXTER BETTY MURIEL - RANDWICK

No Thaxter birth in NSW index 1890 - 1916. Only marriage in NSW index 1880 - 1940

1823/1939 THAXTER REGINALD ARTHUR - CLAYTON LOIS EUNICE - PETERSHAM

HARDAKER marriages in NSW index no Betty or Elizabeth.

I'm wondering if 'Betty' was the daughter of a STIMSON and 'adopted' by Sydney & Lily Horner.

However no Stimson birth with just mother listed.

Re: HAMILTON family

I spent 45 minutes at the local library this afternoon scanning hundreds of baptisms looking for this one. The record set for CofE for 1855 is not in sequence of parishes so I had to scan all of Volume 42.

Page 3
Baptisms Administered in the Parish of St. Philip Sydney in the County of Cumberland in the year 1855
No. 38 When Baptised: 1855 25th Febry. When Born: 1854 Augt. 16 Jane Daughter of John and Isabella Hamilton Abode: Mulgoa Quality or Profession: Bootmaker By whom the Ceremony was performed: Robt. L. King
