Re: St George in the East, Middlesex

Can't find anything on line, nor can I find any baptisms for children of Joseph Barnes in St George in the East.

However while Googling the Parish Registers a page came up from Trove which implied that there is a CD of the Parish Registers 1729-1826 by Docklands Ancestors. It implied there is a copy available to view at the State Library Victoria.

Looking on the Docklands Ancestors site the basic free search tells me that there were 25 Brnes baptisms betwee 1808 and 1825. To get more details you have to pay of course.

Re: St George in the East, Middlesex

Thanks Emeltee.

I have some such as this one and was wondering if I could add images to my tree and clear this up.

St George in the East, Middlesex.
11 Aug 1816 (born 29 Dec 1814) Susannah Eliza Barnes dau of Joseph and Elizabeth, servant.
Born in the parish of Keysoe in the county of Bedford.

The baptism record probably does not contain "Born in the parish of Keysoe in the county of Bedford."

20 Sept 1818 (born 27 Jul 1818 ) Rebecca Barnes dau of Joseph & Elizabeth, labourer of Turner St.

10 Jun 1821 (born 14 Feb 1821) Joseph Samuel Barnes son of Joseph & Elizabeth, Brewer's servant of Taling? St [Tarling]

Re: St George in the East, Middlesex

The familysearch catalogue has films for St George in the East but they can only be viewed at a Family History Centre, not available on line unfortunately.

Re: St George in the East, Middlesex

Thanks Emeltee.

The State Library is 10 km from where I live so within easy reach but NSW Archives, FHC, and NSW branch of National Archives of Australia are more like 50 km away by bus and train and then bus again.

I've only visited the NSW Archives once and not yet been to FHC.
