Re: Charles Edwin T NEWMAN

Thanks.

Something is not right. If the birth in England is correct then the family may have arrived in Australia before 1911 census.

I can't find a marriage in England that fits for an Arthur to an Alice.

Death in NSW 8399/1985 NEWMAN CHARLES EDWIN TWEED - ARTHUR EDWIN TWEED - ALICE KATE * 20 Mar 1985 * Age 86

Re: Charles Edwin T NEWMAN

According to the GRO mother's maiden name was Gabbatt. However I can't find a marriage which fits.

Re: Charles Edwin T NEWMAN

It's in County Donegal. If you Google Milford Ireland you should get a link to a map.

Re: Charles Edwin T NEWMAN

In 1901 the family were living in Grandborough in Buckinghamshire.

Arthur E T Newman 38 Clergyman Church of England Bn Loevil Somerset
Alice K 40 Bn Ireland
Charlotte E T 5 Bn London Shoreditch
Arthur M T 2 Bn London Lambeth
Edwin C T 4 Bn Grandborough
Annie Austin 20 Cook Domestic Bn Bexley Heath
Jane Austin 18 Nurse Domestic Bn Bexley Heath

I do wonder if some of the birth places have been mixed up because, as they were living in Granborough, one would expect the youngest child to have been born there but who knows. That needs checking.
