Re: Ann PEACOCK nee BATEMAN

The information you hae is all I can find as well. However I'm not sure that it is the same Ann Peacock as both Keynsham and Kingswood are to the east of Bristol, while Clifton is to the west. Also Clifton was a Reg District until 1877 so if she died in Clifton her death should have been registered in Clifton, if, of course, it was registered at all. A bit of a puzzle.

Re: Ann PEACOCK nee BATEMAN

Is this the same Aaron as the coal miner in 1861 census? If not, then I have no death for the coal miner one.

Aaron Peacock
Age at death 58
Birth year 1810
Burial year 1868
Burial date 4 Jul 1868
Burial place Stapleton, Holy Trinity, Gloucestershire, England
Spouse's residence Stapleton, Holy Trinity, Gloucestershire
Residence Stapleton, Holy Trinity, Gloucestershire
Place Stapleton, Holy Trinity
Town Bristol
County Gloucestershire
Subcategory Deaths & burials

Bristol Mercury Saturday 4 July 1868
INQUESTS - (Before Mr. H. S. Wasbrough, the Deputy Coronor for Bristol.) - On Saturday ...
- On the same day, at the Mason's Arms, Temple-street, on the body of a man, apparently about 58 years of age, who died suddenly that morning in that house. Verdict "natural causes." The name of the deceased was unknown at the time the inquest was held, but the corpse was afterwards identified as being that of Aaron Peacock, of no residence, who had lately been working at Fishponds, Gloucestershire.

Re: Ann PEACOCK nee BATEMAN

I can only find one Aaron born 1807- 1814 in 1861.

Can't see any Ann in RD Keynsham in 1851.

One married to a George Peacock in St Nicholas Bristol in 1851.

Only 2x Ann.

Re: Ann PEACOCK nee BATEMAN

If Ann died between 1851 and 1861 then surley the Aaron Peacock who was buried in 1868 cannot be yours as it states 'Spouses' residence. Unles he had remarried and I can't see a marriage. The only one I can find is in Newcastle upon Tyne.

However it is possible that the Anne Peacock buried Kingswood could well be the Anna Bateman being buried with her parents. Expensive, though, for a coal miner.

Re: Ann PEACOCK nee BATEMAN

The only Aaron Peacock I can find was baptised Bitton 5 June 1808 parents Isaac and Hannah. I presume that is what you have. Also I can only find him in the 1841/51/61 Censuses.

Re: Ann PEACOCK nee BATEMAN

Dunno, Emeltee.

Burial place Stapleton, Holy Trinity, Gloucestershire, England
Spouse's residence Stapleton, Holy Trinity, Gloucestershire
Residence Stapleton, Holy Trinity, Gloucestershire
Place Stapleton, Holy Trinity

I'm wondering how accurate that is. Perhaps assumptions made to fill in some of those.

Where is there a 2nd Aaron roughly the right age in 1861?

Re: Ann PEACOCK nee BATEMAN

I've not tried to find anything yet on Ann's parents. I'm working on 'B' in my tree so better have a look.
