Thats really interesting Geoff, he would have only been a couple of years old when his mother died now im wondering if was "adopted" The estate of WILLIAM LAWRENCE LANGDON

bequests include,, to his adopted son, John Francis Lauchlan,

Yeah, I found it a little confusing then I remembered his sister was NoK in 1914, but also she must have been married and over 21y to be in E/R in 1903...

I'll try to find that tree again for pointers..

He must have been married before Anne, the tree has this, not validated..

"Death of Wife Henrietta Le Cheminant(1828–1893)
7 March 1893 • Petersham , NSW, Australia"

Married Anne in 1894..

Good point, Gibbo..It looks as though his sister and husband looked after him and possibly legally adopted him..

Im beginning to wonder if when second wife died and John still been a toddler if his sister and brother in law took him and raised him, hence him been adopted son of William Lawrence Langdon.
