Thumbs down Today sucked

My parents just live a minute up the road from us and i go and check on them early every morning. Did my usual "check" this morning and left after a bit. But i didnt get real far Reversed our of their driveway and was in the middle of the road, put the car in drive, put the foot down .. and didnt go anywhere I had no gears, car wouldnt move and im in the middle of the damn road. I pushed it all by my little self to the side of the road, not one person pulled up to help me! I must have made pushing it look easy and they figured i didnt need help
Anyway got car sorted and me and my pulled muscles headed to the dentist.

So with my sore muscles from pushing the car and my mouth from the dentist by lunch time the only part of me that wasnt hurting was from my nose upward!

AND the electrician didnt turn up to fix my stove neither like he said he would

Tomorrow is another day!

Re: Today sucked

That's a shame.......no one stopped to help a lady in distress. That's awful.

Not saying I'm a knight in shining Armour, but I'd help anyone out if I could.

Selfishness seems to be spreading out further.

Oh, your cooker. That's leccy stuff, isn't it.

Have a good day tomorrow, and don't forget your rabbits foot.

Steve.

Re: Today sucked

I suppose things aren't made to last like they used to be, so I'll give you some leeway........but don't push it.

That's good, the landlord fixes the stove then and pays for it. So don't whinge too much about that.

Early last year, around the mid february, so it was still quite cold here. A woman had stopped in a lay-bye (with a puncture), and 2 kids in the car. So I drove past them. BUT, I turned around when I saw in the rear view mirror, that she had a puncture in the nearside front wheel.

Took me 5 minutes to change it, but the damn wheel nuts were so tight, she would have never had a chance. Hurt my foot kicking the blinking wheel brace.
The kids enjoyed my funny faces with my straining.

So I fixed a wheel, and made someone laugh......that's a good day in my book.

Steve.

Re: Today sucked

Had a good day today

Phoenix, our grandson, will turn 2 in 10 days time and his dad and mum wanted to get him a trike bike with parent handles. So expensive to buy a good one. After hunting around town and not been able to find a decent one within our price range, i come home jumped on the computer and checked Gumtree out. [similar to ebay].
Our lucky day!! One was advertised in our area, near brand new, hardly used. Went and bought it for $20 Saved over $100+
Gotta love a bargain

Re: Today sucked

Like Steve, I'm gutted that no-one stopped to help a 'damsel in distress', and here's me still helping people older than me to cross a busy road!
Glad you've found a bargain though for your grandson, I actually think the sole purpose of the internet is to get me bargains, especially my train tickets.
However, if you suffer from any aches and pains from pushing the car, I believe Steve is good at that sort of physiotherapy?
