Re: Wally moments.

Checking the GRO for mothers maiden names........there were 4 children who I was sure that they had the same mothers maiden name.....BUT.......I couldn't find them.

I then realized I hadn't changed the mothers maiden name from a previous search.

Just a small Wally.....but they all count, don't they.

Steve.

Re: Wally moments.

Move over Julie, I'm back in the Wally Corner.

Ooooh, you did a wonderful job with duster.

Just been looking at my Cummings line, and 're-adjusting' some details.

Looking for mmn of the Cummings children in the GRO, and from what I found, the surname should have been SMALL, but all came with ClAYDON.

What I forgot to make note of, was the fact that Angelina 'Small'(1839. Stone. no mmn.), who married Thomas Cummings in 1867 @ Monks Risbrough, Bucks, and went by the name of Angelina Claydon.

The note I forgot to add, was that her mother, Mary Small. married a James Claydon @ Stone, Bucks in 1943.......so Miss. Small took his surname.

So now I've got that all sorted, I best get on the couch and put my feet up, and watch the dust settle.

Steve.(aka.Lazy bones).

Re: Wally moments.

I know I have lost the plot entirely now.

I put my headphones on to listen to Radio Caroline(ex. Pirate Radio), turned on the music and nothing was coming through.

After several attempts at opening and closing the web site, I then realised that I hadn't plugged the headphones into my PC.

Just waiting for a knock on the door of the Wally corner, by the men in white coats.

Re: Wally moments.

They're on their way, Steve, but it is the weekend, so may take a while, gives you a chance to hide?

It's Ok Brian. I have been informed, that I'm beyond help. So it looks like I'll have to do my own housekeeping in the Wally corner.

Nice of you to pop in and say hi.!!. But don't linger too long, it may be contagious.

Re: Wally moments.

Another Wally mo today.

I went to mow the grass, and tipped some oil in the fuel tank, instead of petrol......not too much, but it didn't half smoke a lot. I couldn't see what I'd cut.

So I stopped mowing and tipped the mower upside down, and got the petrol and oil in a bucket.

Filled it with petrol, and off I went again. It started raining, so I stopped and put the mower away. Now the grass is half cut.......and it looks rubbish.
