Three missing 'Horobin/Horabin/Horrobin' births

I am looking for the births of Charlotte Horobin (born circa 1898 in Liverpool, though her death reg says born 1895), Benjamin Horobin (born circa 1901 in Liverpool), and Ellen Horobin (born circa 1903 in Liverpool). They are siblings and the first I find of them is on the 1911 census, where they are inmates at a children's orphanage/hospital. On Ellen's marriage certificate (1925), she lists her father as 'Charles' and that he is deceased. She lists his job as a ship's cook, but I am not sure if this is true; since her husband's father is listed as having this job too...maybe true, or maybe she just didn't know.

I find it odd there is no record of their birth...maybe they weren't born in Liverpool? On one Ancestry member's own tree, they have Ellen born in Ireland in 1903...but I don't see any evidence to back that up.

If anyone could help, I would really appreciate it. Thank you so much.

Re: Three missing 'Horobin/Horabin/Horrobin' births

I can't find Charles Horobin/Horrigan etc in 1891 but have found the following...

Son Charles H

Charles Henry Horabin Dec 1887 Prescot 8b 678 mmn Hunt

Son Samuel

Samuel Horabin Jun 1896 Prescot 8b 680 mmn Hunt

Marriage Charles Horabin/Elizabeth Hunt Mar 1882 Prescot 8b 913

Both Bnejamin and Eleanor have the mmn Bridson, I have found theis marriage

Mar 1900 Toxteth Park 8b 313 Charles Horabin/Isabella Brickton

There is a death for an Elizabeth Horabin Mar 1899 Salford 8d 32 aged 37 which may or may not be the right one.

Thank you, I am confused a little: is there no marriage for Bridson/Horobin? What is that marriage in 1900?

Thank you yes, I think that is her. Charlotte raised her sister Ellen's children after Ellen died in 1948, so consequently never married. Charlotte died about 1977.

Re: Three missing 'Horobin/Horabin/Horrobin' births

I can't find a Bridson/Horobin marriage. I looked for a Charles Horabin (all spellings I could think of) to an Isabella and that is the only one that came up with a name that sounds a bit like Bridson.

My thinking is that Charles married Elizabeth Hunt, the marriage collapsed and he took up with Isabella but wasn't free to marry until Elizabeth died. I found a possible death in 1899 and Charles and Isabella married in 1900. You'd need to get the death and marriage certs to prove/disprove that theory.
