Elizabeth Ives. 1788 Great Missenden, Bucks.

Here's another lost Ives. Born to Thomas & Sarah Ives(nee.White). There is also another Elizabeth Ives, b1785, born to James & Mary Ives(nee.Wooster).

Marriage, Great Missenden.
23 Oct 1813.
James KING, Bachelor of Dean, Northamptonshire
Elizabeth IVES, Spinster of this parish
Witnesses - John Ives & Ann Ives
With consent of parents. by Licence.

Marriage License.
12 Oct 1813. Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire, England
James King, Gentleman of Dean, Northants. Elizabeth Ives otp.

Also......

19 Oct 1814.
William FRYER, Bachelor of this parish
Elizabeth IVES, Spinster of this parish
Witnesses - Sarah Ives, John Hill & John Stevens.
With consent of parents. by Licence.

Marriage Licence.
14th Oct 1814.
William Fryer, butcher of Great Missenden, Elizabeth Ives otp.

Burials.
2 Sep 1835. William FRYER aged 50 of Gt Missenden. (Baptised - 10 Apr 1785)
27 Jun 1845. Elizabeth FRYER aged 59 of Missenden. (2 years out, but possibly Elizabeth Ives).

Fryer Baptisms.
19 Aug 1817. Thomas.
19 Jan 1819. James.
4 Oct 1820. Mary.
15 Oct 1821. Sarah.
17 Jul 1823. John.
1 Dec 1824. Susannah.
6 Jul 1826. Ann. Buried 1827, aged 10 months.
6 Jan 1828. Samuel.
5 Dec 1830. Martha.

FamilySearch. 1841 Census. has Elizabeth Fryer & 4 Children. Sarah, Susannah, Samuel & Martha.

The question is, can anything be found for James King & Elizabeth(Ives), in Northamptonshire. Deane/Dene/Dean........N.E. of Corby.

(Deene Park......I doubt it.).

Steve.

Absolutely nothing coming up. They either didn't have children, didn't go to live in Deene or details haven't yet been transcribed.

Re: Elizabeth Ives. 1788 Great Missenden, Bucks.

I am almost confident, that this Elizabeth Ives, was the one that married William Fryer.
Her brother was the Pork Butcher, and William Fryer was also a butcher.....A common theme.

The other Elizabeth..1785, was where the money was. That would make a good marriage. with James King, 'the Gentleman'.

The other worry, is that all the witnesses at the marriages(except one), could be related to both......that old common name theme. Sisters, brothers, brother in law, or cousins.

With potentially 3 years between them, given the fact that baptisms aren't birth ages, I might have to wait and find the Northamptonshire link. Or, the right marriage will possibly remain a mystery.

Any more ideas folks.

Steve.
