Hi all.

Could someone please check the original 1861 Census for this lady please.

Is it the initial, an A or a H please.

That's all I need, thanks.

It's been transcribed as A and looking at the letter on the original I can understand why. However if you look at all the other capital As on the page they are all larger versions of a lower case A (like a capital O with a tail bottom right) therefore I'd be inclined to say it was an H. Seems to match tha H in Head.

Yes, I agree. Plus the address adds up, Rignall Farm(mentioned below in 1861), is in Rignall Road, as it is now.

I cannot make out the name of the road/farm, where William Judge lives, where she is visiting, but it's in the right area.

That makes even more sense. Spot on.

Mobwell was owned by her father, and Grandfather, and Gt.Gt Grandfather, and my 5xGrandfather.

And I never even got a shovel full of manure from her estate.
