Re: Winifred Ellen SMITH

Thanks Val.

I had a bit of that. I'm going to expand my tree by adding parents.

I had Ella Mabel because of Whiteman so now I will add her parents to the actual tree. I'll add Elizabeth but probably not all the siblings.

My new computer arrived this morning. It has no OS so over the long weekend I'll have to install Windows 10 and all my apps.

Those are Presbyterian so I can look them up next week.

Re: Winifred Ellen SMITH

OS = Operating System

It means the computer is empty.

No data of any kind on the hard disk.

Wonder why the change to Napier.

Re: Winifred Ellen SMITH

I have Windows 10 on a USB stick and I could install from that.

However I have a program on CD that can copy (clone) one hard disk to another so I will try that first. If it works I won't have to install and then update Windows and then reinstall all the applications.

Helen and Janet baptised at the same time although born about 2 years apart.

Also Helen = Ellen b. abt 1842 from age at death.

The index is crazy for those early V church records. The year in the index is the year of birth although the actual record is a baptism sometimes several years later.

H Ross Whiteman's mother was Ann Bensley so I have connections in a circle in my tree.

We may as well, to see if there is another connection to my tree.

THE Friends of the late MR. JAMES SMITH are respectfully invited to attend his FUNERAL, to move from his late residence, Sloane-street South, TO-MORROW (WEDNESDAY) AFTER-NOON, at half-past 3 o'clock, for the Wesleyan Cemetery.
R. SIDNEY CRAIG, Undertaker, Sloane-street.

My Furner family was Wesleyan and one of them lived in that street.
