Yeah, especially Samuel being an innkeeper.. one of the local business people..: rolleyes:

Can see nothing for Ellen, searching just with forenames 1840-1853 yields nothing.

Re: Ellen Isabella WALTER

Thanks gibbo.

Thanks Geoff.

I have another Wallace one. Just found another loop in my tree connecting Hamilton to Wallace.

Looking for a death on the Deaths board.

Re: Ellen Isabella WALTER

Most curious. For some reason the author does not know Samuel stayed.

Quote:
The Soldiers listed below a represent the soldiers who were in Australia on Garrison Duty.
Some may have settled, some may have not. When it has been confirmed they settled in Australia they will receive their own page. If it is confirmed the men settled in Australia, they will not appear on this page, they will appear on the surname page.
Sergeant WALKER Samuel was stationed in Victoria Barracks, the 11th were the first occupiers. His wife was Elleanor and his daughters Mary(born 1850) and Rose Anne (1852) were supposedly born at the Barrack.

I'll get this baptism tomorrow.
