Re: McLUCKIE family

Dunno gibbo.

Ages are right but no deaths in Qld. or NSW in index.

No marriage in Qld. in index to 1900 for either of those.

Re: McLUCKIE family

Quote:
In Normanton John [LEDLIE] was employed by Burns, Philip & Co. In 1891 after a short term at the company’s branches in Thursday Island and Port Moresby, New Guinea he moved to Herberton where he joined the staff of Jack & Newell (established 1882). Also on the staff there were sisters Annie and Elizabeth Kerr (Bessie) McLuckie, both milliners.
This is curious because we have Annie's arrival.

Ok, the four missing ones are the four eldest. So it's normal for the older ones not to be listed with family but under the 'Single Women' 'Single Men' categories. But, should still be in the index.

No marriage in Qld. index before 1913 for Robert so that's rather late. Possibly married at Mackay.

1903 QLD Post Office Directory
McLUCKIE Robt, Kob st., Albion
