Marrion/Mareon KERR nee WARNOCK

1841
Piece 644 Folio 12 Page 14
Lanarkshire ED: 12
Civil Parish: Gorbals
Address: Neilson St.
Surname First name(s) Sex Age Occupation Where Born Remarks
MURRAY John M 40 Grocer Outside Census County (1841)
GREIG Mary F 40 Sewer Outside Census County (1841)
KERR Marrion F 55 Sewer Outside Census County (1841)

Looks as though I'm out of luck. I can't see Marion in 1851. It may not even be the right Marion in 1841, though not a very common name.

So far I can't find the marriage for Thomas & Mareon.

William Kerr b. 7 Sep 1814 c. 25 Sep 1814 Rutherglen, Lanark
- parents Thomas Kerr & Mareon Warnock

I have William in 1841 and 1851. He died before 1861 census but death not yet found. William was a coal miner, so neither of these:

Re: Marrion/Mareon KERR nee WARNOCK

Checking through the family, two of William's siblings, this may help at some point if Marion turns up with any of them, though she would be a good age by 1861...

Re: Marrion/Mareon KERR nee WARNOCK

Thanks Geoff.

James seems to be the only brother. Also Mary and Isobel and Marion. More likely to be with one of the married daughters. Some more work needed on this one.

Re: Marrion/Mareon KERR nee WARNOCK

5x deaths in Lanark 1855 - 1910 for an Isabella - other surname KERR born 1810 +/- 1 year

Possible marriages to:

Robert THOMSON
Thomas GRIEVE
Joseph HYSLOP/HISLOP
James CHURCH
John CRAIG
Samuel COOPER
James KIRK

The only one of those 5 that fits with those names is KIRK.

===

9x deaths in Lanark 1855 - 1910 for an Isabella - other surname KERR born 1810 +/- 2 years

Again the only one is KIRK. I think that Isabella was born Covington not Rutherglen so rules KIRK out.

===

13x deaths in Lanark 1855 - 1910 for an Isabella - other surname KERR born 1810 +/- 3 years

Again the only one is KIRK.

I think I'm making no progress.
