Re: John McFARLANE

Not even buried in the same cemetery as Bridget. I spent ages trying to find his burial on the Rookwood site. You have to search mac f, mc f, macf, mcf

The Sydney Morning Herald - Tuesday 1 August 1944 p.10
DEATHS
McFARLANE.-July 31, 1944, at her grand-daughter's residence, 104 First Avenue, Campsie, Bridget, relict of the late John McFarlane, and loved mother of Amelia, Florrie, Blanche, and Frederick Langley, aged 84 ? years.

I can't see a funeral notice for John.

Perhaps the hospital determined the place of burial.

John's date of death is written on a page of his service record on NAA. A letter from the army telling him to apply for a pension after he was invalided home early.
