I feel like Peacock is easier.

Actually, I'm doing 'J' at the moment.

Question Re: John YOUNGMAN

Thank you Dave and Geoff for trying to help but you must remember that the Joseph John Youngman was already in Australia before 1867 as that is the year he and Maria Jane Barker got married in Adelaide.

One of the trees has him back in England in 1871 on the census unless that person thinks it is a South Australian census. In 1871 Maria was giving birth to I think no 4 and in 1872 is when Agnes Rose Youngman was born in Hope Valley, South Australia.

Then I find Maria giving birth to Mary Youngman in 1877 with father named RYAN but she put the child in her name. Joseph John Youngman has now disappeared with no death recorded for him in South Australia, Victoria, W.A. or N.S.W. What has happened to him?

Maria goes on to marry again in 1881 to Henry Fisk in Gawler and had 5 or 6 children by him. Maria Fisk, fmly Youngman nee Barker d. 8th May 1930 at Norwood and is bd. in the Willeston Cemetery with her last husband.

I've read all of Trove and loose him after 1873.

I agree with who ever said Peacock would have been easier to work on.

Re: John YOUNGMAN

Hi Rosemary,

I was searching for any J J and ended up proving it was 2x and not one returning from England to S A with a new wife.

In situations where a coroner is involved there is usually no death entry in the index. You would then expect to find reference in newspapers and something in the Inquests index.

Searching in S A is not as easy as the eastern states.
