2x OLLIFFE families from Cork, Ireland

The Sydney Morning Herald - Monday 28 May 1860 p.1
MARRIAGES
On the 17th May, by Special License, at St James' Church, by the Rev. H. Morton, Mr. Thomas OLLIFFE, to Kate, third daughter of Mr. J. B. OLLIFFE, Surry Hills.

From the NSW Parliament site in relation to Joseph Benjamin OLLIFFE Jnr (1835 - 1930):

Quote:
Son of Joseph Benjamin, innkeeper, and Ann Osborne. Baptised at Saints Mary & Ann Shandon Roman Catholic Church, Cork, Ireland. Married Elizabeth Catherine Callaghan on 22 May 1861 at Maitland and had issue, 13 children with 4 daughters and 5 sons surviving. Roman Catholic. Buried in Roman Catholic section of Waverley cemetery.
They were from Cork, Ireland. Thomas is the son of John & Ellen. Don't know if Ann and Ellen are sisters.

Joseph Benjamin OLLIFFE and Ann OSBORNE married in Ireland and it would appear that John OLLIFFE and Ellen (nee Osborne) did as well.

Don't know where Thomas and Kate were born - both abt 1840.

Joseph senior & Ann and John & Ellen all died in Sydney.

Re: 2x OLLIFFE families from Cork, Ireland

Thanks Geoff.

Seems brothers married sisters in Ireland.

The address is 3 and 8 Little Bloomfield street in various newspapers so don't know if they moved or if 8 is an error.
