Re: Alfred Charles BAYS

One a NSW index and one a QLD one? Brisbane was in NSW in 1856 when they married then when QLD come into been in 1859 any records that were now in QLD were transferred to QLD hence the 1859 index. I have one the same and my are the exact same years as yours. Same people and the same marriage.

Re: Alfred Charles BAYS

Yes, thanks, gibbo, seen that one. We've looked at the cousins in other topics. May even have wondered when they arrived. Just noticed going through my tree that I still had no arrival and had not posted to this board.

Interesting:

The Brisbane Courier (Qld. : 1864 - 1933) - Saturday 6 October 1917 p.13

Quote:
...Messrs E. J. and A. C. Bays returned to England in January, 1862...
That is probably his cousin Arthur Charles. Edmond John and Arthur Charles are twins.

Re: Alfred Charles BAYS

Thanks gibbo.

No it's William Goulding who is a brother of Arthur Charles. Albert Charles is the odd one out and the only one actually in my tree - cousin to all the others.

Re newspaper "North Australian" in Ipswich - Twins E J & A C BAYS and F B & William G BAYS.

[Twins Edmund John & Arthur Charles. Frank Buckle & William Goulding. Cousin Alfred Charles]
