Elizabeth Ives 1884. Wolverhampton, Staffs.

Elizabeth Ives 1884. Wolverhampton, Staffs, appears in the 1891 census, with parents, Thomas & Elizabeth, and Sibling Sarah Ives.

I can find no birth, death or baptism, the only record I have of her is the 1891 census.

I can't view the original census, to see if there is a mistake with her age.

Any ideas folks.

Steve.

Re: Elizabeth Ives 1884. Wolverhampton, Staffs.

fmp has 1870 as well but looking at the original it is very difficult to read as the enumerator, for some reason, has crossed out all the ages. It looks more like 7 to me rather than 21.

Just Thomas, Betsy, Elizabeth then a blank line, then the next household.

Re: Elizabeth Ives 1884. Wolverhampton, Staffs.

This is all good, but I made an error in including this lady, due to age variations, and lousy work by the enumeraters pencil and pen.

I thought this seemed odd.

Sorry to muck you all about, and look for ghosts.

This is the Elizabeth Ann Ives, who was born to Thomas Ives & Mary Ludlow, in 1859, Towersey.

Elizabeth Ann Ives
1859.

Oxfordshire
Volume -3a

Baptism.
25 Dec 1859 • St Catherine, Towersey, Bucks. Elizabeth Ann child of Thomas & Mary IVES of Towersey, Labourer.

I also forgot to mention that Thomas Ives married a second time to Elizabeth Jeffkins, 3 years after his first wife dies.

Thanks very much all of you, but I think this thread is done now.

And another lesson for me, which is do not believe everything you can't see.

Thanks again.

Steve.
