James Axon age 35 (yob 1843) Dec 1878 W Dby 8b 276

AnnJane married George Cato in 1888 and Mary Frances married John Hanlon in 1898.

If William arrived in Australia about 1895 then I can't find him in 1891. FS is not much use as it does not allow input of an age range for that year. Why do they make it difficult like that?

The obit states he married in 1899 so if they had the dates out on that maybe dates for how long he had been here are out a bit as well. Good chance he was here before 1891??

Dates are out and so was my choice of birth reg.

Oh. Those baptism records really sorted things out. Born 1873 so if he arrived at age 18 then must be soon after 1891 census.
