Violet Ada Bertha Hayman - 1896

The birth of Violet A B Hayman was registered in S. Stoneham, Hants in Sep Q 1896. Her parents were William Henry Hayman (Royal Navy) and Ada Emma White/Hayman (nee Ward).

In 1901 Ada Hayman and her children were living in Bishop Street, Portsmouth. Ada and William married in Dec 1901.

In May 1905 William married for a second time and in June 1905 Ada (White) and her children were admitted to Medway Workhouse (discharged Dec 1905?). Edward Ernest Hayman was born in August 1905.

I have traced all members of this family in later years except for Violet. I have not found the family in 1911.

Family:- Ada Emma b c 1876, Essex (Dovercourt/Harwich). Jessie Ada, b 1891, Kent, Violet Ada Bertha, b 1896, Hants, Frederick Charles, b 1898, Hants, Edward Ernest, b 1905, Kent.

Where were they in 1911? Where was Violet after 1905? ( She is not Violet A B Hayman who married in Newton Abbot in 1924). Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated (if they're polite!)

Re: Violet Ada Bertha Hayman - 1896

I'm puzzled by this if they married in 1901.

Re: Violet Ada Bertha Hayman - 1896

Ada Emma Ward married William Jesse White, a sailor, in 1892, the year after their daughter, Jessie Ada, was born. WJW deserted from the Navy, and presumably his family, in Oct 1894. I assume the abandoned wife was comforted by William Henry Hayman. A second child, Frederick Charles was born to them in 1898 before Ada entered into a bigamous marriage with WHW in 1901. WHW himself then entered into a bigamous marriage in 1905 before their third child was born.

Thank you to all who troubled to read this thread and particularly to those who responded to my appeal. Although it has not produced the result I had hoped for at least it has confirmed that I have not missed anything obvious.
