Re: Waverley Cemetery Burials

Thanks Geoff.

Don't know why that set is missing the most important bit - the plot.

Age 94 would be right.

Re: Waverley Cemetery Burials

Dunno what I did but it deleted instead of downloading the image so please send again Geoff.

I notice a big poster at State Library advertising that A... had the COMPLETE CofE Sydney registers.

Well, they are missing hundreds of marriages from St James, St Philips and St Laurence because I've checked. They are 3 of the original 4 inner city of Sydney parishes.

Re: Waverley Cemetery Burials

Thanks Geoff.

Was looking at the 1990 fiche of the electoral rolls today and found a few fiche missing from the set. I was informed that that following changes made recently by the Electoral Commission any missing fiche will not be replaced and that the current 2008 roll will be the last set to be issued on fiche. Privacy / identity theft / etc...

I requested a copy of the 1990 White pages phone book which they got out from basement stack and found the address and the person I was looking for.

Yeah, I read that somewhere also.. Will they be reproduced on a different medium or just stopped?

Re: Waverley Cemetery Burials

The EC have moved on from printed books. At elections now the staff use laptops to check the roll.

No, not produced at all for the public to access. It's lucky they have not removed all post 1917 fiche from libraries.

I got a heap of stuff today. Shipping records, death notices, Victorian marriages that sometimes list pob and 1990 NSW electoral rolls. I have a list of people alive in 1980 but not on 1990 roll so deaths to find. 26 Feb 1990 is the first set of fiche in alphabetical order by name. Not looked for John Smith yet.
