Very true... She would have been pregnant with John S if b. Q3, possibly staying with family [either side]

Re: William Henry in Liverpool

I've even tried looking for an Ann King, but zilch. I've also checked Gilbert Street, which where they were both living when they married but nothing. Also Frederick Street and nothing there, either.

Re: William Henry in Liverpool

Have you seen the 1871 census, Em' and is there anything else on Ellen Noon?

Geoff

EDIT: She has to be somewhere in 1861..

Re: William Henry in Liverpool

The only marriage I can see in Liverpool around 1871 for a Noon to an Ellen is

Thomas Noon/Ellen Tobin Jun 1870 Liverpool 8b 95. Thomas and Ellen are in 1881 with daughter Ann and looking at Ann's birth reg the mmn is Tobin. Therefore not a King or a Henry who married a Tobin and was widowed - bit young for that anyway. So haven't got a clue who she is, nor can I find any link to King or Henry. The descripton of her as their daughter is dubious to say the least.

Having difficulty finding an Ellen Tobin born c1840 in birth regs or Censuses.

Possibly discounted unless adopted, but a little too much to believe

Ellen Tobin's father was a John, occ = sailor, deceased. Thomas's father = Thomas, occ = sailor, deceased.
