Re: Bridget O'BRIEN

One public tree has this...

"Marriage
24 Jun 1880 • Wagga Wagga
Belmore House BDM 5160/1880 Witnessed by Malcolm Nicholson & Catherine O'Brien
James Dunn (1850–1923"

No obvious certificate available so can't validate

Geoff

EDIT:

This looks interesting Mother, Catherine d. 1905.. TROVE

William O'Brien & Hanoria Queney

Abode: New England

Far enough away to rule that family out.

That's the only Bridget 1839 - 1855 in NSW index with father = William.

I just spent the last 10 minutes trying to find it.

Are you sure you have the right John? What month and year?

So we are back to two CofE Barnes brothers marrying RC sisters - one in CofE church and the other in RC Cathedral.

Re: Bridget O'BRIEN

Thanks Geoff.

I will have to check why that did not return a hit.

This is very odd. Menindee is in the far west of NSW on the Darling River.

Re: Bridget O'BRIEN

A couple of trees pointed to July 1886, so assumed it was the one..

Re: Bridget O'BRIEN

The CofE marriage took place a few months before the RC one. That's about the only bit that does not seem to fit.

The CofE marriages for that Diocese are on fiche at the State Library and one is there and the other not.

I'm still not spending $18.

Occupation for John junior.?
