Re: John & Catherine O'BRIEN

Thanks Val.

Agatha and Bridget are in my tree by their marriage to Barnes brothers.

Re: John & Catherine O'BRIEN

Curious. The date matches the one in the Gov. Gazette but Menindee is a very long way west of Wagga/Cowabbie.

Death 14276/1886 O'BRIEN JOHN DIED MENINDIE MENINDIE * 19 Jul 1886

Menindee, frequently but erroneously spelled "Menindie", is a small town in the far west of NSW, in Central Darling Shire, on the banks of the Darling River, ...

John - 1800 in Killaloe - a large village in east Co Clare, ...

Shipping record has John of Limerick b. abt 1807.

5 children born in Ireland and 2 survived to travel to NSW with their parents.

I can't see the marriage.

So many variations of Catherine's name in the NSW baptism records.
